Apparently this Saturday is going to be the flea market. I haven't visited my neighbours home's in awhile, so I'm not sure what everyone has. Personally I'm looking for a ranch table, And possibily pieces from the blue, classic and exotic series.
Tip of the Day : Do you find that the person you want to buy from during the Flea Market is never home when you want them to be? A quick trick to send all your neighbours home is to open DS to DS communications in your town. With the gates open everyone flocks indoors. This is a great trick, also when making deliveries for a neighbour, especially when you can't seem to find the animal you are looking for.
Yesterday, while gathering fruit and shells I found Pascal hanging out on the beach in my town. I really wish I had written down what he said, because he had some sort of babble that he was sharing with me, something about having legs for land. Afterwards he gave me a ship compass and jumped back into the ocean. It was a quick and bizarre transaction. I wanted to invite him over for some chowder, but I never got a chance to ask.
Tip of the Day: Before speaking to any of your neighbours or visitors always make sure you have at least one slot open in your pocket for items and one open slot for mail. You never know if they are gonna give you a gift or want you to make a delivery. If your pockets are full, you could miss an opportunity.
So yesterday I got caught walking about town without my slingshot on me. Usually, I'm really careful about carrying it as you never know what you will shoot out of the sky. The other week, I shot Pete the Pelican out of the sky just before his 9am delivery rounds (He delivers your daily mail at 9am and 5pm.
Well this time around I saw a UFO in the air and was equipped with all my tools except for my slingshot, which I had stored in my dresser. There are never flying balloon items after dusk, so I usually take it out of my pockets at night.
Hopefully, I'll spot it again soon. Apparently, at CHE's town of Akiba they fly often So hopefully now it will occur more often in Einnar.
Tip of the Day: Balloons fly across the top of the screen at x:x4 (ie 8:04 am, 10:14 am, 2:24 pm etc). So you basically have a chance to shoot things down almost every 10 minutes. Your best bet is to hang around the north end of your town, near the main gate around that time with your slingshot in hand. Trying to shoot items from the beach won't cut it and don't shoot if the balloon is over a body of water, like the waterfall, You will lose your gift in the water.
Once you have shot 15 items out of the sky, you are rewarded with a Golden Slingshot on your 16th item, which shoots three stones instead of one.
So Hugh, the pig, officially moved out of my town today. I'm assuming I'll have a new neighbour tomorrow. Hugh was a nice enough guy, but he seemed to have a little bit of a self esteem problem. He also had a love for food. I once sent him a letter inviting him over for breakfast. I mentioned that I would be making my speciality, scrambled eggs and bacon. He never did accept the invite. Perhaps, breakfast wasn't his forte.
Tip of the Day: When planting coconuts, you only have one option in order for them to grow. You must plant them along the beach, just above the sandline. These puppies won't grow anywhere else. The same rules apply here, leave at least one space between trees, and do not plant right beside rocks, borders or buildings.
Here's a shot of me chillin in the spare room on the first floor. It's a bit more sophisticated than the second floor which I converted to the game/music room.
You can see pictures of Pierce and Mitzi who have since moved out of town. Soon Hugh will be joining them in the great beyond.
I already know that I wanna do with the other two rooms once I get those expansions, but alas the mortgages just keep getting bigger and bigger, thank goodness for fruit trees and fishing.
Tip of the Day: Is your home getting cluttered and your wardrobe full? If you are a pack rat like me and don't like collecting, another storage option is keeping your stuff hidden in mail that you can save at the post office.
it's been a few days since I've been able to write here. I've been busy fishing, cropping down trees and planting fruit. If you have had a chance to visit Einnar in the past, It's quite different than it was in the past. The beach is lined with coconut trees and I have groves of Oranges, Pears, Cherries and Apples.
Of course, I still have my native peaches which I have planted near the gate for easy visitor access. As well when I am leaving town.
Mitzi and Pierce have both moved out of town, but Kitt and Samson have moved in. So it's quite nice to have new faces.
On Saturday, I gave KK a country guitar and he gave me an autographed picture of himself.
I have lots more news to share, but that will come in time, including pictures of me and my haircut. I've already had 3 actually.
Tip of the Day: When planting trees always leave at least one space between the new sapling and any other trees, stones, buildings or borders. Giving the tree a good watering after you plant it helps as well.
What was the last game you played?
So I bought this timer from Nook's and it's great to play games with your friends when you have people visiting your town or even when you are out of town visiting others. The timer let's you choose different time intervals and tracks how many bugs or fish you have caught in the selected time frame. It's a great way to prove you indeed are the best fisherman or bugcatcher ever. .
Even more fun is bringing your catch to Nook's for Bells. Then you can compare who earn more bells in that time.
Tip of the Day: If you are living with room mates there really is no need for two sets of tools. Just share them. However, you always have to remember to leave the tools on the floor in your home and not in the wardrobe. For a short period of time, I was sharing my net with jayjay, but on occasion, he would leave it in his pocket. Now he has his own set of tools.
So last night Kidflash visited me from Rainland. He had recently mosve into his town, so he was in awe when he saw mine, with a updated Nookway, a two storey home and a museum full of bugs and fish. He told me his home had mice and that his village was poor.
After showing him around Einnar, I decide to check out Rainland for myself. Wouldn't ya know, I was raining. It's rained in Einnar before, but I had yet to experience it at night. To top it off his town was knee deep in weeds. It was strange, but Kidflash told me it was like that when he moved in. It definitely gave the town a really run down look.
So aside from visiting the store and with some of his neighbours, the majority of my time was spent de-weeding Rainland. We must have done something right, because the mice no longer lingered in his home.
Kidflash was so thrilled with my helping hands he let me leave with a pocket full of Oranges, which I gladly took back to Einnar with me. Now I have an orchard of oranges growing along the river, behind Mitzi's house.
Tip of the Day: When doing major weeding sometime you will find a four leaf clover in the patches of weeds. Put them in your hair or in your home for some good luck.
So the fruit I got from Witek at happysan bore fruit this morning. Only one coconut didn't make it from the batch. So needless to say, I harvested a bunch of the fruit and started planting more trees. Before long , my town gonna be full of fruit.
Last night, I visited Marky at Norco and got a bunch of Cherries. It was nice to be able to visit a town who's store is open after mind has closed. Sadly, about half the fruit I planted were dead this morning, but the other half have taken root, so that's promising. I just need to get some apples and I'll be set to open a fruit market.
That reminds me, tomorrow we're having a Flea Market in town. So it should be exciting to see what everyone else is selling. I have some bells saved in the bank for the occasion, hopefully I have enough. I was hoping to pay off my third mortgage today, so we could start expansion on the house, but I dunno if that's gonna happen. Although it would be nice to have the extra room for all the bargains I'll hopefully pick up.
Tip of the Day: Sometimes when visiting others over the Nintendo WFC there is the chance of a lagging connection. If your conducting an important transaction make sure you get the host to save your progress. They can do so by pressing Start. It's a handy function when you have guests.
Limberg came over just before lunch time to check out my pad. That's two days in a row now. Later on in the afternoon, I bumped into him and he admitted how much of a friend he thought I was. Now I have a picture of him on display at home.
Luckily, he arrived at the house just as it started to rain outside. After lunch, I was out for a stroll and there was this amazing rainbow in the sky.
Tip of the Day: Photos from your neighbours are priceless. Don't sell them to Tom Nook, he won't give you anything for them, instead display them in your home and receive bonus points on your Happy Room Academy score.
